Touring Teams and Friendlies
If you are planning a Tour to the South coast or West Country, or wishing to arrange an independent Club fixture, why not consider a friendly match against Amesbury Bowls Club. You will be made very welcome.
We are situated very close to the A303 / M3, the main route to the West, and are also very accessible from Bournemouth and the South Coast. We have a large car park and coach parking is available nearby.
The Club is close to Stonehenge and only eight miles from the city of Salisbury with its famous Cathedral and Close, and Charter Markets. Any non-bowlers in your party can easily catch a bus into Salisbury as buses leave every thirty minutes from outside the Bowls Club.
We have a very good six-rink green and a well-stocked comfortable licensed Clubhouse and can provide tea and biscuits or a high tea at the end of the game if required.
Should you require lunch prior to a match there are several restaurants in Amesbury such as Wetherspoons, Holiday Inn, Harvester, Antrobus Arms Hotel, George Hotel etc. As an alternative, why not consider a stop in Salisbury with time for sightseeing and lunch prior to a match.
We hope you find this information useful.
