Centenary Celebration Match v Bowls England
Visiting players and guests enjoyed a prematch buffet lunch. The Bowls England team led by BE Vice President Kim Harris was made up with players from counties across the country. The match was played in a friendly competitive spirit, with Amesbury winning 114 – 81 shots. An after match meal was served in the clubhouse. A great day to mark the club’s centenary.
BIG BOWLS WEEKEND – GREAT TURNOUT – SUPPORTING CANCER RESEARCH UK
Monday saw the club open its doors and welcome people to have a try at bowls as part of the BBW.
Some of those who attended have already signed up for follow up sessions.
Proceeds from refreshments raised an amazing £140.55 for Cancer Reasearch UK.

Amesbury Ladies Reach County Finals
Jenny Homer, Dawn Ford, Ruth Canham and Ali Noyes played in the final stages of the Ladies County 4s competition, beating a team from Box BC in the quarter final. They then went on to play a team from Box BC skipped by Alex Jacobs in the semi final, a close match but came out winners 20 -17.
Good Luck when they play the County Final and then go on to represent Wilthire in the National Championship Finals in August at Royal Leamington Spa.

Club Mixed 4s Competition
Today saw the Interclub Mixed 4s Competition. 8 Teams played competitive matches, a great atmosphere on a sunny day.

Amesbury Men Start the Season With Two Wins
The first games of the season saw Amesbury Men travel to Corsham in the Wiltshire 4 Rink league where they secured a win 12-2.
In the Wiltshire 3 Rink league they started the defence of their title with an away trip to Avon Melksham, where they won 8-2.
